(January 12, 2024) – AEi Systems, the world leader in worst case circuit analysis (‘WCCA’) and SPICE modeling, has released version 4.5 of AEi Systems’ Power IC Model Library for the Cadence® PSpice® simulator. The updated library includes a variety of new models including many semiconductors (SIC/Germanium diodes, IGBTs, FETs, BJTs, and zeners, beads).

Version 4.5 of the Power IC Model Library now has over 1,700 high fidelity and correlated simulation models for power electronic designs. It includes model netlists in PSpice syntax, schematic symbols for both Cadence OrCAD® Capture and legacy schematics, and a set of example application circuits for many of the IC models. The models are compatible with the latest OrCAD Capture version 17.x software.

New additions for version 4.5 of the Power IC Model Library include:

• SIC/Germanium Diodes, Zeners, IGBTs, Ferrite Beads, and FETs
• References and Linear Regulators (ISL75052, LM4050, TPS745xx, ISL72991, ISL7109x, RH1086, LTC3315A (AC), LT8641 (AC), EN6337 (AC))
• Opamps (ISL70244, ISL70444)
• Tantalum Capacitors

“Many models on part vendor web sites and that are included with EDA software packages are of poor quality and fidelity. • Automotive EMC Transient Signal Generators (FMC1278/ISO 7637-2/ISO 76750-2)
• Spark Gap, Fluorescent Tube and Dead Time Controllable FET Driver Models
• Ford EMC transient sources (CI 210, 220, 221, 222, 230, 231, 250, 260 and 280)

The Power IC Model Library is available immediately and priced at $1,995, plus yearly maintenance of $495. While the model count has increased, the pricing has not. Existing customers on maintenance can download the updated version as part of their maintenance contract.
